TURBO AIR FILTERING

TURBO has been the leading brand within cyclone cleaning, for many years.

It is well-known for its capability to filter out dust, shavings, snow and other unwanted pollutants before they reach the machine. Generally speaking, Turbo has an effectiveness of approximately 60-90% depending on application and environment.

Turbo exists in many different models to fit most types of engines and sizes. It is important to find a size which matches a specific engine, as a too small cyclone cleaner chokes the air flow into the engine, whilst a too large cyclone cleaner does not achieve the intended result.

Turbo comes in two main types:

  • Turbo II, the original which still is the most popular model
  • Power Ram, a special version of above, for really powerful engines

Installation

Turbo is driven by the intake air from the engine. The cyclone cleaner is maintenance-free and does not contain any filter inserts which need to be replaced. The installation only takes a few minutes and can easily be done by anyone who has access to simple standard tools.

Turbo is installed by demounting the rain water protection cover above the air intake’s opening. Then Turbo is installed at the same position by placing it above the air intake pipe and tightening the cyclone cleaner with the accompanying band clamp. Finished!

Principal of function
The intake air is forced to rotate with the help of static guide rails on the upper part of the cyclone cleaner (1). The rotational movement creates a centrifugal force which throws out unwanted pollutants against the inner wall of the filter casing.

There is an air driven “propeller” at the bottom of the Turbo (2) which throws out the pollutants through the slits in the outer edge of the cyclone cleaner’s bottom part.

The cleaned air passes right through the Turbo (4). The remaining remnants are taken care of by the original air filter.

Sheds and barracks

230V aggregate, Part No. 530-000

Silicosis is a stealthy health hazard which furthermore is incurable. Our over pressure filters are intended for protection of personal who work in sheds and control rooms in vulnerable dust environments such as for example crushing plants.

The fan inside the SD/MS takes in the air through two filter elements which are series-assembled, and then edjects the clean air into the personal space. An over pressure is created inside which prevents polluted air from leaking in through window cracks or other unsealed areas.

The grade of filtration in the last step of the filtration follow Hepa H13 standard, ie 99,997% filtered. This fulfills the Environment Authority’s requirements for work within asbestos contaminated environments.

As an attachment we can also deliver a prefilter with active coal. This effectively removes problems with bad smell such as in recycling facilities or similar.

Construction machinery

24V aggregate, Part No. 530-003.

This over pressure filter is intended for protection of personnel working in construction machines in dusty environments such as crushing plants.

The performance is similar to the above mentioned 530-000, but this version is driven by a 24V direct current fan and its attachments are adapted to installation on on machinery instead of sheds.
